WHAT DOES AMAGI MEAN?

Amagi is an ancient Sumerian word (a-ma-gee) thought to denote "freedom" or "liberty". It was written in its original form in Sumerican cuneiform. The Sumerian script was adapted for the writing of nearly a dozen languages including Old Persian. It is believed to be the first expression of the concept of freedom in writing. Literally translated, it means "return to mother" used to denote reform.

We have chosen Amagi as our logo because in our belief in the ultimate form of freedom and liberty: the vacation. Being lovers of the ocean (often referred to as the 'mother') we knew this was the perfect fit. Our customers range from the adventurous young surfers on a limited budget to retirees looking for a stress-free retreat. Yet among all our clients, the common theme exists: the desire to be free. Free from worry, work, reality. Free to enjoy their families, free to surf with no obligations...the list goes on!

 Our motto, "Live Free. Live Amagi" is meant to motivate our customers to live free and travel free. To come on a vacation with us and take back the idea of being free to travel the world.

WHAT DOES AMAGI ADVENTURES DO?

Amagi Adventures is an outdoor adventure travel company based in Tamarindo, Costa Rica specializing in custom travel packages and guided surf tours. Our services include, but are not limited to: original and custom surf tours, surf lessons, yoga, snorkeling, diving, sportfishing, white water rafting and canopy tours. Amagi Adventures enables its clients to create a custom stress-free travel experience based on their vacation objectives and preferred activites. Amagi Adventures allows you to create your own vacation and add additional private guides for scenic and surf, adventures, personal yoga instructors and a personal accommodation/dining experience.

Our company also has professional photographers and videographers on hand for private accompaniment during your stay in Costa Rica. It is our belief that our clients should enjoy the Pura Vida experience, without worrying about taking photos or videos of their vacation.
